World Rabies Day is coming up on 28 September 2025. This year’s theme, “Act Now: You, Me, Community,” reminds us that everyone has a role to play in the fight against one of the world’s deadliest zoonotic diseases: rabies. The disease affects all mammals, including humans, and unvaccinated dogs remain the greatest risk to both people and their pets.
The SAVC would like to showcase the incredible work being done by veterinary and para-veterinary professionals across the country.
