The Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) degree offered by the Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Pretoria (Onderstepoort campus).

Animal Health Technician

The Diploma in Animal Health offered by UNISA.

The Diploma in Animal Health & the BSc Agric (Animal Health) offered by North West University

The Diploma in Animal Health offered by Tsolo Agriculture and Rural Development Institute (TARDI)

Laboratory Animal Technologist

There is currently no prescribed qualification for laboratory animal technologists.

Council accepts the IAT training course plus Pharmacology and Jurisprudence offered by UNISA

Veterinary Physiotherapist

The BSc in veterinary physiotherapy offered by Equine-Librium College pending outcome of visitation in 2023.

The qualification has been accepted by Council, but it has not yet been promulgated as a prescribed qualification.

Veterinary Technologist
The Bachelor in Health Science (BHSc) in Veterinary Technology offered by Tshwane University of Technology pending 2024 visitation outcome.

The National Diploma in Veterinary Technology (phased out in 2019)

Veterinary Nurse
