Registration of Veterinary Nurse facilities

In terms of the Veterinary and Para-Veterinary Act, Act 19 of 1982, no persons may practice veterinary or para-veterinary professions from an unregistered facility. Therefore, all facilities where veterinary or para-veterinary services are conducted must be registered with the SAVC.

For a veterinary or para-veterinary facility to be registered with Council, it must comply with set minimum standards stipulated in the Rules relating to the practising of the veterinary and para-veterinary professions. To assist you in ensuring that your facility complies with the minimum standards, it is required that you conduct a self-evaluation of the facility and submit the completed form with your application for registration of your facility.
