As a citizen of South Africa, you can ask any veterinary or para-veterinary professional to show you his/her registration certificate from the SAVC. This will give you comfort and peace of mind when they treat your animals. All veterinary, para-veterinary professionals and veterinary facilities must be registered with the SAVC in order to practise legally in the animal health industry.

All professionals and their facilities are, required by law, to abide with certain standards of practice when treating and diagnosing animals.
